Welcome to Logistics Today

Welcome to Logistics Today

The First All-Digital Publication Serving the Logistics Market.

Logistics Today was created for the logistics manager of the 21st Century – to provide a single, authoritative source of news and knowledge that is easily accessible from a computer workstation or mobile smartphone. Logistics Today builds on parent company Penton Media’s 50-year tradition of award-winning editorial products serving the logistics market, but redefines the mission to serve today’s multi-tasking, technologically savvy reader operating in a global economy. It’s a commentary-rich digital magazine built on five decades of intimate experience with the logistics community and its needs. Within its pages, you’ll find the same great coverage of logistics topics, but also spot-on analysis of global trade management, supply chain technology and competitive marketplace issues.

When it comes to covering the logistics field, experience counts.

Dave Blanchard, editorial director and associate publisher, has a wealth of knowledge in the supply chain and logistics industries as well as 25 years of trade publishing experience. He launched the print edition of Logistics Today in 2003, and he literally wrote the book on supply chain, namely his popular Supply Chain Management Best Practices book for John Wiley & Sons (second edition forthcoming in April 2010). Most recently he served as editor-in-chief of IndustryWeek.

Mary Aichlmayr, contributing editor, has served as a business journalist for more than 10 years. She serves as chief editor of Logistics Today’s sister publication, Material Handling Management. She previously served as associate editor for various logistics publications, including Transportation & Distribution, Chief Logistics Officer, Supply Chain Technology News and Women in Logistics. Aichlmayr is one of the original founders of the Northeast Ohio WERCouncil, a local chapter of the national Warehousing Education and Research Council. Her articles have been used as educational tools in supply chain courses at Carnegie Mellon and Penn State universities.

Logistics Today is the ultimate “green option” with every issue delivered monthly, straight to a computer workstation or mobile device—no trees were harmed in the production of this digital magazine! All issues are archived so they are easily available.
